Runa is a talented völva (practitioner of traditional Norse magic) from a family of völur. Other than taking care of her family and community, she hasn't really found her own way yet. Baking, cooking, and sewing are her passions. Being relentlessly cheerful is her habit.

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Runa's style of magic is primarily traditional, so doesn't tend to be very flashy. Among other things, she can:

• Cast spells using runemagic
• Use prophecy/divination magic
• Do some manipulation of fate
• Work spells into crafts (e.g. cooking, sewing)

She's picked up a number of skills during her time in-between life choices. Including:

• Extensive baking and cooking skills
• Weaving
• Crop farming
• Sewing: Dressmaking; reupholstery; tailoring
• Basic wilderness survival, especially in Swedish environments
• Fishing and trapping
• Managing to comfort even the most inconsolable people

 

SETTINGS

Runa is from an urban fantasy on Earth where magic and magical creatures exist, but are hidden from the wider world. However she's very a flexible character and I'm open to pretty much any setting, and happy to discuss possibilities.
